1.1 Postion Summary
Working within the Support team environment, the
Application Consultant (clinical) is responsible for the
analysis and troubleshooting of GE Healthcare software for
one or more clients.
1.2 Primary Duties and Tasks
1. Analysing current state departmental and patient
healthcare workflows
2. Demonstrate the ability to discuss Healthcare
Product knowledge with clients and other team members
3. Responsible for the development of an effective
working relationship with the client
4. Understand client needs and communicate them
effectively
5. Participate in business evaluations
6. Ensure that software issues are resolved in a
timely manner and in accordance with company s Healthcare
standards/established project plan milestones
7. Provide post-live support per contract in
accordance with Healthcare standards
8. Providing a future state solution design to best
meet and enhance departmental and patient workflows
9. Developing appropriate policies and procedures
10. Managing departmental practices and operations
changes
11. Assessment of training needs
12. Must be available 24/7 to participate on a weekly
on-call rota, if needed
1.3 Knowledge & Skills
1.3.1 Essential
1. English (good written & verbal)
2. Clinical background (eg. clinician, therapist,
etc)
3. Experience of working within virtual teams
4. Operating in cross functional environments
5. Demonstrate a high level of composure,
professionalism, and knowledge of healthcare and business
environments
1.3.2 Desirable
1. Arabic (good written & verbal), or another
language
2. Previous healthcare /hospital experience
3. Experience of healthcare information systems
4. Educated to Degree level or relevant experience
5. Knowledge of the healthcare sector on a
departmental or general level (especially with knowledge
of Care Management. Assessments, Clinical documentation,
Requests and Results, Scheduling and Theatre applications)
6. Presentation, analytic, training & Strong
technical IT skills
7. Experience of participating in integrated system
implementation projects
